Notre Dame hosted a volleyball tournament in our Sports Hall on May 18. Our men’s and women’s teams played against three other colleges from the region.
Over 100 students from Notre Dame, Wakefield College, New College Pontefract, and John Leggott took part, with the final results as below.

Volleyball Coach and Head of Modern Foreign Languages Chary Gonzalez-Latham organised the tournament. She said, “The atmosphere was incredible, and the comradery shown by everyone was amazing. All players involved tried their best and it was great to see fantastic rallies and great blocking.”
Lower sixth player Jerioth Akebo added, “I think the tournament was an amazing experience; it was fun and lively, many people came to support us for the first time, and it was nice to hear the support that we got."
The highlight of the day was the staff versus student game, which staff won.
