From Leeds to Rome

In July 2020 and February 2021 during lockdown, Fr Timothy Radcliffe, previously head of the Dominican Order of Friars spoke to our staff and later to our students via TEAMS. His words gave much comfort and hope in those difficult times and were deeply appreciated. As a renowned speaker, he was asked by Pope Francis to lead the retreat for all those attending the Synod in Rome, where Bishops, religious and lay people are gathering at the Vatican Oct. 4-29 for a summit to discuss a way forward for dialogue and decision making in the church.  Bishop Marcus Stock of Leeds Diocese is attending as is Archbishop John Wilson of Southwark who is from Yorkshire.

You can find this 30 minute mediations below using the links. Director of Catholic Life said 'there are so many things you could say about his mediations, they are full of humour and understanding - they are a challenge to us all, that even if we disagree, we must respect and listen. As Fr Timothy says 'the good news is, God loves us, the bad news is that he loves everyone', we should all remember that.'
