Health Promotion Fair

The Year 12 Health T-level students as part of their curriculum learn about health promotion which includes health campaigns. To help strengthen and consolidate students knowledge, students were set the task of creating their own health promotion campaigns. Students had to think of an aim, objective and relevant target audience. Students worked in teams to create high quality campaigns based on an area of health, which included accurate and informative information, goody bags, quizzes and prizes. The students carried out their campaigns on the 7th February 2024.

Campaigns included work around tanning sun beds, vaping, and safe sex.

Amy Hall, Acting Head of Health and Social Care quoted, 'The students put a tremendous amount of effort into their campaigns and went above and beyond in their own time to conduct research and put together creative displays which proved to be very engaging. Students and staff who visited the campaign were so impressed with how professional the campaigns were and all visitors said they learnt something about how to protect their own health, which shows the campaigns were a huge success!'
