What will I study?
Acting is a very practical subject which focusses on the development of the actor’s body, voice and imagination. The course will show you what life would be like as a professional actor, how you would approach rehearsals and performance in terms of your creative responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to experience techniques in character development, physical theatre, play reading, and engaging and communicating an intention to an audience using your physical and vocal skills.
This acting course is designed to give you a foundation to prepare for a career in performing, with a specialist focus on developing your skillset for further acting training at university or accredited drama school. All assessments are designed to be vocational, which means your lessons are taught in such a way as to show you how you’d work professionally as an actor whilst keeping up to date written work about your skills development.
