Chaplaincy Support

Our Lay Chaplain is always on hand to support Notre Dame students spiritually and emotionally, regardless of their beliefs.

The Lay Chaplain operates an open door policy, so you are welcome anytime to drop in and have a chat.

The chaplaincy offers:

  • The use of our beautiful chapel every day for quiet prayer and reflection.
  •  An alternative quiet prayer space.
  •  Morning prayers in the chapel, and Mass twice a week.
  •  Weekly prayer groups.
  •  The opportunity to read, sing or perform in assemblies.
  •  The chance to join student social justice and charity groups.
  •  Involvement with a wide variety of charitable events including a Christmas dinner for the elderly, an annual sleep-out in support of the homeless and fundraising activities for CAFOD
  •  Inspiring assemblies
  •  Practical and emotional support

For those who want to take part, there’s an annual residential retreat to Ampleforth, as well as the chance to be part of the Leeds Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes, where students care for sick and vulnerable pilgrims from our area.
