T Level Students Get Social

Here at Notre Dame we’ve recently introduced ‘subject socials’; lunchtime meet ups for our students to allow them to mingle with their peers outside of lessons.

Our Health, Education & Childcare, and Business & Admin T Level teachers decided to offer their students a combined social. As studying a T Level takes up a student’s full timetable at college, they have fewer opportunities to meet people from other courses.

The T Level social was attended by lower sixth students taking T Levels in Health, Education & Childcare, and Business & Admin, and our upper sixth Health T Level students also came along.

Jenny Smith, Head of Health & Social Care, said, “It was lovely to see the upper sixth health students bonding with the lower sixth and sharing information about their placements, which lower sixth can't wait to start. Since carrying out this event, upper sixth health students have delivered some practical sessions to lower sixth, and a safeguarding presentation. It was also nice to see the lower sixth health, education, and business students interacting with one another and discussing their T Level programmes.”
