Students Get Political at University

Notre Dame’s History and Politics Department visited the School of Politics and International Relations (POLIS) at the University of Leeds on April 24.

Our students were keen to find out what life at university was like and learnt a lot from attending a lecture and a seminar. They also received excellent advice about the university application process and how to write a strong personal statement. The visit gave our students the opportunity to chat to student ambassadors about their experiences of university.

One of our students commented that, "The lecture was very engaging: Africa's role within the Cold War.", and another said, "The friendly Leeds Uni ambassadors made university seem less overwhelming!"

The visit certainly provided an inspiring insight into studying politics at higher education level.
