Sports Awards 2026

Last week Team ND celebrated the 2025/26 season at the annual Sports Awards - commemorating team and individual success. Team ND represents all of our sports team who compete in the Association of Colleges Yorkshire and Humber League, as well as regional and national championships. 

The night began with a welcome talk from the PE and Sport Department, including a fun rap that summarised the sporting season to the tune of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Deputy Principal Andrew Kellett gave a welcome address to students, highlighting the benefits that sport brings through enriching experiences, as well as enhanced leadership and teamwork skills.

The coaches of each team presented the awards, which included a 'Players' Player' and 'Coaches' Player'. A full list of awards can be found below:

Finally, the Victrix and Victor Ludorum (or the Winner of Games) trophies were presented, celebrating overall outstanding achievement in College sport. They were awarded to Fola Aladese and Ethan Schofield respectively, both represented Yorkshire and Humber at the AOC National Championships as county captains.
