Our T Level Media, Broadcast and Production students gained more valuable experience this week, attending the New Monday Creative and Media Networking Meeting at Leeds Dock for the second time this year. New Monday's staple Creative Networking Breakfasts are available for creatives in Leeds to hear insider tips and practical information on emerging production sectors, creative inspiration, and open doors to collaboration opportunities. It is the perfect introduction and networking opportunity for our students who are just beginning their careers in the sector.
Student, Daniel Gailis said 'We got to me a lot of different media specialists. They gave us opportunities and we got offered a placement. We got really good advice on how the whole industry works and they gave us advice on how to get into it.'
Fellow student, Charlie Vieira said that 'I feel like New Monday was really good, because there was lots of opportunity to meet high-end people in elevated positions. I also got to talk with some university students who gave me some guidance and a bit of direction on where to uni and where to look for job opportunities. There was also our main speaker who talked about life working with the BBC and going around the world. It opened my eyes to a lot of new avenues that I can see myself going down after I finished college.'
Our students well definitely be attending the New Monday again this year.
