Media, Broadcast and Production T Level students had yet another fantastic enrichment experience where they visited SAE Creative Media Education for a workshop and campus tour.
The SAE Institute is an education institution, providing niche creative media programmes to around 10,000 students at 56 campuses globally. In September 2025 they opened a brand-new campus in Leeds City Centre, boosting Leeds' already fantastic creative industries. SAE offers undergraduate and postgraduate options to develop students' creative skills with courses ranging form Audio Production to Game Design to Music Business.
The students got to see the recording and podcast studios, editing suites, and filming areas, before taking part in a filmmaking workshop. They got to play various media roles including directors, assistant directors, lighting, boom, sound and camera operators, and actors.
Students reflected on the visit- JJ said 'It was very helpful, It taught us how an on-set production works in terms of structure and everything involved in filming a scene' and Aurita said 'It was very engaging. We got to take part in a production and experience what it's like. The studios were top quality and the staff were really nice'.
