Lights, Camera, London!

The Media department made their annual trip to London last week as part of the Lower Sixth enrichment days. The year's Experience Days were part of ND EDGE, standing for Employability, Discovery, Growth, Experience. The days are an important part of the College calendar for student development and a fun way for students to end the year.

As part of the trip they visited the Wes Anderson exhibition at The Design Museum and saw their extensive archive. Students got the chance to see the whole film production process, from treatment sheets to storyboard to production for classic films like The Grand Budapest Hotel and Fantastic Mr. Fox.

They then embarked on a film tour of the capital, hitting sightseeing spots such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Leicester Square. The students also got the chance to see the real filming locations of Harry Potter, James Bond, and Mission Impossible to name a few.
