Last week the Level 2 Business groups had an employability/interview workshop delivered by Clare Field from working options.
She went through a 'how to' prepare for an interview and even included a section on how businesses are using AI to shortlist candidates.
Students learnt a lot from that initial handshake to what type of questions to ask.
Today they had the opportunity to put all they had learnt into practice when Asda colleagues came in to hold mock interviews with them. The students were nervous beforehand but managed themselves well and they found it useful. Some of them said that it was the fist interview they had ever done and knew there were things they could improve on in the future.
The interviewers were impressed with the confidence of our students and their ability to communicate with them.
Our Level 2 students are part of the Notre Dame pathway, where students who missed out on their GCSE Maths or English resit, whilst boosting their academic profile with further Level 2 qualifications. Throughout their extra year at Notre Dame, students are involved in the Stella Maris Leadership Award and enrichment opportunities, including a strong careers and employability programme.
