Law Moot Heat Win

On Wednesday 15th, three law students from lower sixth - Angela Salu, Gracie Marr and Hifsa Khan, won their heat of the Leeds University Family Law Mooting Competition against Roundhay School. They were mentored for the moot by barristers from Spire Chambers in Leeds, including Lauren Gardner and Marie Harbin, who are also very proud of their achievement. A moot is a mock judicial proceeding set up to examine a hypothetical case as an academic exercise.

They were highly praised by the District Judge for their professionalism and confidence. They will now go forward to the final of the competition in December, which will be held in the Family Court at Leeds Combined Court Centre.

Good luck team!
