Our Level 2 Business students have taken part in a program called 'Be the Boss', delivered by People Plus, an organisation that helps to deliver a range of public services, such as employment support, skills training, starting a business, and support to help employers grow.
During the event, students had to come up with their own business idea and produce a plan for it. The students worked with Pam and Natasha from People Plus to develop and refine their ideas, finishing with a presentation of their idea.
There was really positive student feedback from the session, including -
'The sessions were really interactive'
'The presenters were really enthusiastic and added to the enjoyment'
'They gave good, strong advice on how to start a business'
One of the presenters commented, 'We received a warm welcome and we were made to feel part of the team. The students were very engaged and motivated. A real pleasure to be with. Mrs Miles really helped and prepared the students well. We wish every college/school was as brilliant as Notre Dame, you really do want the very best for your learners'.
