Health and Social Care Visit to the University of Bradford

On Monday the CTEC Health and Social Care students visited the University of Bradford for a Higher Education Experience Day. They visited the Health Sciences Department and had Q&A sessions with current students who are studying Midwifery, Paramedic Science and Physiotherapy. They took part in a series of interactive lessons, including how to detect the position of a baby in the womb, how to listen to a baby's heartbeat, how to do basic CPR, and how to remove objects from people's airways. They also had a tour of the facilities and discussed placement experiences too.

One student commented 'Going to the University of Bradford was a life changing experience the kindness and professionalism of the students and lecturers there made me change my career aspirations to do something I wanted to do and not just what's easiest'.

Huge thank you to the University of Bradford for helping our students in their decisions for their next steps after Notre Dame.
