Film and TV Director Talk

Yesterday, our T Level Media, Broadcast and Production students were honoured to welcome experienced assistant film and television director James Emmott into the classroom to deliver a talk on life working in the film and television industries. James has played a key role in some critically acclaimed films, such as Isle of Dogs and Fantastic Mr. Fox, working alongside legendary filmmaker, Wes Anderson. He has also worked on TV shows such as Doctor Who.

Lower Sixth T Level student Gabriela Nakanduungileh said that she 'found the talk today really interesting,' and that 'James told us about how much effort goes into every scene, even the short two-minute scenes that don't really seem like a lot. He told us to keep going and he gave us really insightful information about how to get work experience and internships.'

Fellow student, Rian Alegue said that 'James Emmott's talk was great, because I got to learn from an experienced and successful film director. To hear an industry expert talk about an industry where it's quite hard to get int to just motivates me to keep on working hard.'

James Emmott is just one a of many guest speakers that our Media students are treated to, with many more in the pipeline.
