Earlier in summer the European Triathlon Duathlon Championships took place in Banyoles in Spain.
Upper Sixth student, Joseph Urquhart, represented Team GB in the 16-19 Open AG Sprint. This event consists of a 5km run, a 19.8km bike, and a 2.5km run to finish. Joseph came in 8th place in 57.45 minutes. It was a close race with just over two minutes between 1st place and 8th place.
Joseph told us about his experience: "Placing 8th at the European Championships among the best 16–19 year olds in Europe is a milestone I’m proud of - proof of hard work, and to push even further."
