Education Visit to Leeds Beckett University

Last week, Lower Sixth Education and Early Years students, and some Health and Social Care students, visited Leeds Beckett University for their Taster Day.

Students got to have a tour of the campus and participated in workshops on child development and observation. They created posters on using children's books throughout the curriculum which they presented with confidence. University staff commented on their level of active participation throughout all the activities offered.

The group reflected on the day -

'I loved the greenery of the campus - it was so bright and welcoming!'

'I loved getting to meet the lecturers and experience a variety of courses.'

'I enjoyed being able to explore a variety of options which didn't only lead me to one career choice.'

'I loved how friendly the ambassadors and staff were, and how informative they were about the different types of courses.'
