They also had the opportunity to be involved in some Diocesan events:
Students joined with pilgrims from around the Diocese of Leeds for the Batley Torchlight Procession on Monday 6th October. The Bishop of Leeds, Marcus Stock lead the Procession with around 350 pilgrims processing the route to St Mary of Angels Church. Within the church we were lead in prayer and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, our students said ‘this was such a prayerful experience’ and that it was reminiscent of what some had experience in Lourdes.

On Monday 13th October, four students represented Notre Dame alongside students from schools across the Diocese at St Anne’s Cathedral in Leeds. We had been invited to be part of the celebrations for the visitation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the relics of Saints Jacinta and Fransico. We were given a talk in the history of Fatima, followed by the Rosary that some of our students helped lead and then our celebrations concluded with Mass and a procession. It was such a joyous atmosphere in the Cathedral that we all returned to College refreshed and ready for the rest of the day!

Friday 18th October saw the Team ND gather in the Chapel for their annual Sports Liturgy. Representatives from the Teams read the prayers and scripture readings, focussing on the importance of being a team and working together. The College Worship Band led the music, playing Way Maker and We are the Free. Scott Broadley, Head of PE and Sport, said 'It was a fantastic liturgy for the Team ND faithful and we wish our sports teams the best for the upcoming season'.
