Caring Together Christmas Party

Now an annual event, the Christmas party was organised with Caring Together, a local community hub supporting local older people in Woodhouse and Little London. 17 people attended and we did this to support our local community and bring some Christmas cheer!

The students planned a range of activities including henna, nail painting, pass the parcel, face painting and a Christmas quiz. The staff choir also attended and sang a melody of Christmas songs.

Level 2 Health and Social Care students planned the activities and helped with serving food and drinks, Level 3 Diploma students helped at the event serving food and drinks and our T Level Education and Early Years students made everyone there a Christmas card from Notre Dame. This helped the students develop their communication skills and how to undertake risk assessments for events!

Jenny Smith, Head of Health and Social Care said: 'Our Health and Social Care students were fantastic, they organised the activities for the event and demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the individuals that attended, we were very proud of them. It was lovely to support those in our local community and we are hoping to collaborate with Caring Together on future events.'
