BID Services

BID Services support deaf and hearing-impaired students by providing specialist advice, assessments, and access to assistive equipment. They visited college today to showcase some of the free equipment available to a number of hearing impaired/deaf students, these included:

• TV listening systems / TV loops
• Smoke alarms (visual/vibrating)
• Doorbell alert systems
• Alarm clocks (visual/vibrating)
• Hearing-aid related equipment / support

They also provided guidance on how to access hearing impairment support once they leave college.
