10 of Notre Dame’s A level Economics and Maths students have been selected by Arrival Education to take part in an investment simulation and mentoring programme.
Arrival Education is a social mobility charity that’s created an investment simulation programme for selected students at partner colleges, in conjunction with Investec, a banking and wealth management company. Notre Dame is one of only two providers in the north of England working in partnership with Arrival Education and Investec.
45 of our students applied to be part of their programme, following an online presentation from Arrival Education. 10 were selected after consideration of various socio-economic factors and input from teachers Claire Jones and Jonathan Lees.
The programme began on October 20 with a launch event (pictured above), which will be followed by monthly trading meetings and mentoring from investment professionals, as well as CEO speaker events where our students will have the chance to ask any questions about the industry they may have. The programme will culminate in an awards evening in March 2022.
We’ve very pleased that our students have been selected to take part, and we know they’ll be a credit to Notre Dame.
