Over the Easter weekend, five Notre Dame students took part in an online retreat facilitated by Rosa from Caritas Westminster. These were the themes over this most holy of periods.
- Maundy Thursday: service. John 13: 1-15 ‘do as I have done for you’. Students were also asked to commit to a random act of kindness to someone.
- Good Friday: sacrifice / love. Stations of the cross with art.
- Easter Sunday: joy. Psalms 118:1-2, 16-17, 22-23 ‘rejoice and be glad’.
Student Tessa Duffy said, “I found the time very peaceful and thought provoking. It felt good to take a few minutes away from the day to focus on the Easter story with other people who may share a similar belief.”
Our lay chaplain Mr. Sullivan added, “Our students really engaged with Rosa as she asked us to go deeper into scripture. Thank you to all who participated.”
