Students Engage with Easter Retreat

Over the Easter weekend, five Notre Dame students took part in an online retreat facilitated by Rosa from Caritas Westminster. These were the themes over this most holy of periods.

  • Maundy Thursday: service. John 13: 1-15 ‘do as I have done for you’. Students were also asked to commit to a random act of kindness to someone.
  • Good Friday: sacrifice / love. Stations of the cross with art.
  • Easter Sunday: joy. Psalms 118:1-2, 16-17, 22-23 ‘rejoice and be glad’.

Student Tessa Duffy said, “I found the time very peaceful and thought provoking. It felt good to take a few minutes away from the day to focus on the Easter story with other people who may share a similar belief.”

Our lay chaplain Mr. Sullivan added, “Our students really engaged with Rosa as she asked us to go deeper into scripture. Thank you to all who participated.”
