Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College students gave up their time off to spend the December 8th inset day singing their hearts out. Their aim was to raise funds for Children’s Surgical Ward L42 at Leeds General Infirmary. Students Alia Woodhouse, Ayeesha Monks, Joan Chege, Simran Athwal, and Taylor Milner, accompanied by staff members Claire Finn and Charlotte Anderton, performed festive carols to Christmas shoppers at Crossgates Shopping Centre, Leeds, for around 1 hour and 40 minutes. Their voices raised a grand total of £184.19! The nurses at LGI Children’s Surgery Ward L42 are hoping to use this Christmas gift to buy a Dyson fan and a few other amenities for the parent’s waiting room.
