Remember Remember for all of November

This month we have commemorated the dead, not only on Remembrance Day when our community observed the traditional two-minute silence, but also by thinking of those closer to us.

Each November at Notre Dame our staff and students pass the names of those they’ve lost to our lay chaplain, and candles are lit in their memory to signify that those we love are still with us in spirit.

This year, our lay chaplain has overseen a week-long remembrance event in the college chapel. We will also remember all those whose names have been collected in Mass, once we are able to celebrate it again.
