This autumn marks a year since T Levels began and we’re delighted to be underway with these critical new qualifications. We started offering T Levels in Digital in 2020 as one of the first providers across the country to do so. Now, as our first cohort progress into their second year, we’ve introduced the Health T Level and will be introducing the Education and Childcare, Finance, and Business and Administration T Level from 2022.
T Levels are two-year courses which follow GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A levels. They bring classroom learning and a substantial work placement together. If you choose to take a T Level, it means you can go straight on to skilled work, further training or study. T Levels were developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to ensure our graduates are meeting the needs of industry. They offer a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on the job’ experience and as part of a T Level you will do a 9 week industry placement with an employer.
Our Digital T Level students are expected to complete their industry placements in April 2022 and we are proud to be a founding member of the Leeds Health and Care Academy, which will allow our Health T Level students to complete their industry placements in healthcare settings across Leeds.
