In the modern world we are all reliant on computers, including the majority of our students who pour hours of work into computer-based essays and assignments. Technology doesn’t always operate to plan, which was the case for Byron Broadbent. His personal laptop, containing 3 months’ worth of coursework, would not power up. Leaping to the rescue was Linda Hemingway, our Lead IT technician, who (with parental consent) removed the hard drive from the laptop and transferred all of the valuable data onto Byron’s personal folder on the college network. Using her specialist IT knowledge she then rebuilt the laptop.
