Indonesian students reach out to Notre Dame
This week our College has played host to 24 students and 4 staff from Labschool in Jakarta. The students aged between 16 and 18 have come to us after spending time exploring Edinburgh. The visit is an opportunity for the students to experience educational environments in the UK along with learning more about UK culture. The students stayed with homestay families to experience British food and home life. During the day they got the chance to shadow our current students in lessons and see our facilities.
On Thursday afternoon they treated us to a presentation of Indonesia and a traditional Balinese performance which took place in our theatre. This was followed by the presentation of a gift to the College. Our Principal Mrs Barlow presented the visiting students with a certificate to commemorate their time at Notre Dame. Students and staff on both sides thoroughly enjoyed the visit and have come away with a better understanding of both cultures.
