Over the weekend of 14 and 15 March, Notre Dame’s CTEC Design (Architecture and Interior) students hosted an exhibition of their work at the Leeds Corn Exchange.
Members of the public could peruse the display of innovative scale models and promotional graphics in the retail unit reserved exclusively for the college. Our students had been set a brief encouraging them to explore repetition in form, which influenced their designs of pop-up venues to promote independent businesses of their choice.
The CTEC Design course, new to Notre Dame in September 2018, is already proving to be a great success as you can see from the images above and below.
Design teacher Ms Carol Sheward said, ‘The students did themselves proud and we have had some amazing feedback from the general public, architects, and town planners who visited over the weekend. Visitors complemented the students on their enthusiasm and ability to talk about all the work on display and many commented that they thought the work had been created by university students rather than those at a sixth form college!’
