Cambridge Continues to Support Skilful Students

Notre Dame’s role as an HE + hub for the University of Cambridge has continued with an event on Tuesday 4 February.

41 of our students attended, benefiting from a programme that included:

  • A lecture from practising academics at the Universities of Leeds and Cambridge
  • A skills session that explained how to read academically
  • A skills session exploring how to make the most of a seminar
  • Several seminars led by Cambridge academics

Enhancing Excellence Coordinator Ms Kitty Graham said, ‘Our students really enjoyed themselves and were so exhausted that some of them fell asleep on the short journey back to college!’

The next event in the HE + hub calendar will be a residential at Selwyn College, Cambridge from 31 March to 1 April.  17 Notre Dame students have been selected to attend. This residential will focus on: life in Cambridge; how to survive financially; and how to prepare yourself to stand out in an application to a top university.
