Living and studying in another country
can be challenging for an International Student and everyone needs help at
some point.
We try
to provide a happy, safe environment for all our International Students. All
students are placed in a tutor group with a personal tutor but International
Students have the additional benefit of an International Student Support
Office which is open every day to assist students.
The International Student Office can help with:
Accommodation and airport pickup
Our International Student Support Officer Amanda Fenner, can help arrange
homestay accommodation in advance, and can arrange collection of students
from the airport to their accommodation. Please note that a collection fee
may apply.
Visas/ Police Registration
The Student Support Office will give support and handle all visa extensions
and advise regarding Police registration.
Banks/
Medical
Help to open a bank account and find a doctor or dentist in the UK
Social
There is a full social programme of optional day trips, residential trips,
and evening activities. Each year there are optional trips abroad for the
whole college. These include Spain, Italy, Disneyland Paris, and skiing
Contact with parents
Academic reports are sent to parents twice a year. The best method is via
email or fax.
Parents are encouraged to contact the Office at any time by email or fax if
they have a question.
Emergency- For
additional support, students are provided with a mobile number in case of
emergency.
