Success for Notre Dame in ICAEW Competition

business-winners

Congratulations to four upper sixth Business Studies students who have won a prize in the Institute of Chartered Accountancy in England and Wales (ICAEW) Challenge. ‘Team Innovation’, consisting of Jasmonica Bhartha, Bruno Da Costa, Gedeon Mbaya and Geraldao Mendonca, delivered a presentation as part of the competition, which is open to all 16 to 19 year old students in the UK.

The judges were particularly impressed that the team explored the options given to them in real depth and it was very clear that a lot of hard work had gone into preparing for the presentations. They were also impressed by the way the team linked their proposals together and explored the longer term impact of their choices.

The four members of the team have each won an ICAEW water bottle, moleskin notebook and a £20 Amazon voucher, as well as a team trophy. In addition, the prize also includes an employability session at college delivered by a representative from the ICAEW.

Very well done to the students and thank you to all the staff who enabled the entry into the competition.
