A selection of Media and Theatre Studies students visited Leeds Beckett University earlier in October, to take part in a various industry workshops relating to new media and radio.
As well as gaining hands-on experience in the workshops, the visiting students also attended an inspiring lecture given by senior BBC executive Helen Boaden. Following this, they were treated to lunch and then whisked to The First Direct Arena, where they were guests at the first ever ARIAS (Audio and Radio Industry) Awards, taking place that evening. The visitors enjoyed the ceremony and were then treated to performances by Gregory Porter, Rick Astley and The Kaiser Chiefs.
Thank you to Leeds Beckett University for providing this wonderful opportunity to our students, and the Notre Dame staff who helped to organise the visit.
