This course is compulsory for all of our students who are studying at level 2. It will give you the knowledge and skills you need to cope confidently and effectively with basic financial transactions. It is equivalent to one GCSE.
What will I study?
You will learn about: bank accounts, how to manage cash, saving and borrowing money and how to understand basic financial language. You will go on to learn more about sources of financial advice and money, its uses and legal constraints, foreign exchange, the consequences of borrowing money, and using calculations to make spending choices. The course is divided into three units: Unit 1 Personal Financial Encounters Unit 2 Money Management Solutions Unit 3 Personal Finance Management A Pass must be achieved in all 3 examinations to gain the qualification.
Progression to level 3 courses or employment.
